As ImagePlus approaches its 30th anniversary, the Coventry-based software company is taking steps to strengthen its future by securing funding to support its next phase of growth.

Since its founding in 1995, ImagePlus has delivered over 500 cutting-edge projects for global brands like Jaguar Land Rover, Stellantis &YOU, and Hammonds Furniture. Now, under the leadership of Tashlien and Matt Nunn, the company is expanding beyond bespoke services to develop its own innovative software solutions—an ambition strengthened through the Investment Readiness Programme, funded by Business Growth West Midlands (BGWM) and delivered in Coventry by C&W Business Solutions, part of the CW Growth Hub Group.

Strategic growth at a landmark moment

Marking its 30th anniversary in January 2025, ImagePlus is focused on scaling up and diversifying its offerings. While continuing to deliver in web design, app development, and business process automation, the company is now developing its own digital products to showcase its expertise and create new revenue streams.

Recognising the need for investment to fuel this vision, Tashlien Nunn enrolled in the Investment Readiness Programme. “This programme has been invaluable,” she said. “It’s helped us understand the investment landscape and refine our approach to securing funding.”

The programme that made a difference

The two-stage Investment Readiness Programme equips SMEs with the tools to attract funding, from understanding finance options to crafting compelling pitch decks.

“Stage one was a revelation. It demystified the complex world of investment, shedding light on different funding options and the key elements of a compelling pitch deck. Prior to the programme, I was unaware of these crucial insights and would have struggled to craft an effective pitch,” explained Tashlien. “In Stage two, we had the privilege of engaging with seasoned investors and experts who shared their first hand experiences and valuable lessons learned. Their insights into the investment process and the common pitfalls to avoid were invaluable.”

As a result ImagePlus secured an £80,000 grant from Innovate UK to develop game-changing digital solutions that automate manual business processes, reducing costs and improving efficiency.

A bright future for ImagePlus

With 30 years of success behind them and new investment propelling them forward, ImagePlus is poised for its next phase of growth. The company plans to expand its team and further establish itself as a leader in digital innovation.

Justine Chadwick, Senior Account Manager at Coventry and Warwickshire Growth Hub, praised ImagePlus’s progress:
“I’ve seen Tashlien grow in confidence, and it’s fantastic to see the business already securing investment. The programme provides the tools businesses need to be pitch-ready and access the right funding.”

Craig McVoy, CEO of Turnkey, who delivers Stage two of the programme on behalf of C&W Business Solutions, added: “This funding will enable ImagePlus to demonstrate the breadth of their expertise. “The Programme shows businesses the different types of investment available and that grants are another way of helping with growth, so we are helping businesspeople to find the right type of investment for them.

The Investment Readiness Programme, part of Business Growth West Midlands and the West Midlands Combined Authority, continues to help SMEs secure investment and scale up.
