Innovation: where to start

Published: 02 January 2025

The West Midlands has a proud heritage in leading the way in technology and new ideas, which Business Growth West Midlands is continuing with our support for the local economy.

What do we mean by innovation?

Innovation in business is the implementation of new ideas or methods that result in the introduction of new goods or services, or improvements to existing ones.

It does not have to involve a major breakthrough in technology. It can be as simple as upgrading a customer service procedure, adding a new channel to your marketing strategy or enhancing an existing product.

Innovation is not just for tech and manufacturing companies either. It is important for all businesses, helping you stay relevant, adapt to change and stand out in the market.
