Bridging the region’s tech talent gap

Published: 13 February 2025

At Business Growth West Midlands, we are committed to fostering a thriving digital economy in our region. To achieve this, we need to understand the current digital skills landscape and identify areas where businesses require support. That's why we are encouraging all local businesses to participate in the West Midlands Digital Skills Census.

The West Midlands Digital Skills Census is designed to gather insights into the digital competencies within our business community. By participating, you'll help us identify skill gaps, training needs, and opportunities for growth. The information collected will inform strategies to enhance digital capabilities across the region, ensuring our workforce remains competitive in an increasingly digital world.

To participate in the West Midlands Digital Skills Census, please visit https://www.techwm.com/wmdsc

Access to digital talent and skills are known to be a global issue, but they are particularly prevalent across the West Midlands, and TechWM are on a mission to change that!

Participate in the survey and shape the future of digital skills provision across the region for years to come. Additionally
- Win a £250 voucher for a local independent restaurant of your choice
- Receive an exclusive invite to an exec-level event on AI
- Avail a free 1:1 skills consultation with one of our Skills Experts
- Get an opportunity to be one of 15 companies receiving free consultancy on digital skills analysis and building your digital talent pipeline

This survey builds on the previous work of the West Midlands and Warwickshire Local Skills Improvement Plan and the Skills West Midlands and Warwickshire Employer Skills Report.

Your responses will be treated in the strictest confidence and all analysis will be anonymised.
